About

soil liquefaction caused by seismic loading can result in catastrophic structural damage, loss of bearing capacity, and slope instability. This phenomenon is characterized by an abrupt loss of shear strength owing to a decrease in effective stresses as pore pressure rises, resulting in damage to existing structures. As India is a highly seismic country with numerous locations at danger of liquefaction, several major earthquakes have caused significant damage and property loss. The rapid development of environmentally friendly technology and the low-cost strategy known as "Induced Partial saturation (IPs)" has recently risen to the top of the research priority list for liquefaction mitigation measures. The goal of this research is to improve this technology so that recommendations can be established for large laboratories and filed applications based on the findings of continuing micro level laboratory studies. Engineering applications will be upgraded from the level of scientific experimental investigation to commercial practice through a complete macro level analysis.
