Project Overview
Lab-on-a-chip is an emerging trend in the domain of biomedical industry. The vision of researchers include the complete automation of bioprotocol implementation over the chip. Two broadly classified biochips are digital and continuous flow based microfluidic biochips (CFMB). PMD is an advanced architecture based upon the CFMB. The real-time bioassay implementation is governed by sample preparation, resource placement, fluid-to-cell assignment and fluid loading. The objective is to develop a complete design automation system for PMD biochips for bioprotocol implementation.
