About
Pseudouridine (ϰ) is a common nucleotide modification found in cellular RNA and mitochondrially encoded mRNAs. It is linked to various diseases such as cancer, MLAsA, MIDD, HIV, X-linked dyskeratosis congenita, and hoyeraal-hreidarsson syndrome. Pseudouridine is found in urine metabolites of cancer patients and saliva of oral squamous cell carcinoma patients. It plays a significant role in cellular activities like translation, RNA stability, and RNA processing. The study aims to identify RBPs binding at the ϰ position and the functions of cells regulated by these interactions. The results will reveal the complex interplay of posttranscriptional RNA modifications with cellular functions and associated human diseases.
