About
The study of convection in bidisperse porous medium (BDPM) has gained significant interest due to its applications in thermal insulation, catalytic chemistry, heat pipe technologies, landslides, and civil engineering. BDPM is a conventional porous medium where a new porous medium replaces the solid phase. Understanding the dynamics of these materials is crucial for their effective use. The current project aims to present a model for thermal instability in BDPM with various external fields, such as viscous dissipation, magnetic field, and helical force. The thermal convective instabilities arising in these systems will be discussed using linear and non-linear theories. Linear theory employs the standard normal mode technique and various numerical methods to solve the eigenvalue problem. Non-linear theory uses multiple scale analysis and the energy method to analyze system stability. This is the first examination of this problem, with potential applications in renewable energy, heat transmission, and blood flow. The study aims to provide a better understanding of the dynamics of BDPM and its potential applications in various fields.
