About

In solar Thermal Power plant (STP) load demands vary depending on climate conditions and time period. To operate an STP plant with maximum efficiency and safely, the design of certain control loop structures is required to control the overall power plant within their physical constrain. Estimation of certain parameters during the operation plays important role in research areas of control and fault diagnosis. State and parameter Estimation Technique (SET) is considered a virtual sensor, it provides information on the internal states and parameter behavior of a physical model during online test. As a result, then entire power plant can be controlled within its limits and increased in the flexibility of electric power production on different weather conditions. Dynamic Optimization tool helps to fully utilize the thermal energy before shutdown and to store thermal energy adequately at different operating conditions (hot/cold startup ).
