About
In this project it is proposed to grow salt-inclusion chalcogenides and different composition single crystals by Bridgman-Stockbarger method for Mid IR applications. Polycrystalline material will be synthesised by horizontal furnace. The temperature gradient will be optimized for growth of good quality single crystal. Crystal structure, composition, crystalline perfection, Raman spectra, optical and electrical properties of the grown crystals will be investigated. Finally strong second harmonic generation and high laser induced damage thresholds of IR NLO material will be made.
