Project Overview

This project aims to explore new and interesting black hole solutions of modified gravity, such as Lovelock gravity, massive gravity, and the family of f(r) gravity, which can indicate new features beyond General Relativity (GR). The project also aims to investigate the semi-classical theory of gravity and possible resolution of black hole singularity. Recent studies have focused on non-singular black hole solutions of Einstein gravity coupled to suitable non-linear Electrodynamics (NLED). The first regular black hole was given by Bardeen, and the study aims to extend this study. Bekenstein and Hawking were the first to propose the entropy and temperature of the black hole, which correspond to the area and surface gravity of the black hole. Despite the success of black hole physics, there are still differences between black hole thermodynamics and ordinary thermodynamics. These black holes remain in thermal equilibrium with their Hawking radiation and exhibit first-order Hawking-Page phase transition. Currently, the studies of such phase transition are focused on black hole solutions of various theories of modified gravity. The black hole has complex matter distribution around it, and it cannot be described by few parameters and is described always in the perturbed state. Once perturbed, it is fully described by the quasi-normal modes (QNM), which encode the information of the system. To learn the stability of the black hole solution, it is necessary to find the spectra of QNM and the stability of the black hole when QNMs are damped.
