Structural, Quantum Entanglement and Quantum Information Theoretic Measures on Confined Few-body Atomic and Molecular Systems

Project Overview

In the proposed project, first of all, we wish to make full quantum chemical calculations using explicitly correlated Hylleraas-type basis set based on the generated potential for the concerned confined system. Subsequently using the modified wave-function, our aim is to investigate the structural properties of ground, singly and doubly excited state energy eigenvalue and structural properties e.g. radial moments, angular moments, one- and two-particle delta functions and cusps, von Neumann and Linear entropy (measure of quantum entanglement); position as well as momentum space Shannon, Reyni, Tsallis, Fisher entropies, Ocsinescu information energy etc. for various few-body atomic, molecular and exotic systems by tuning the parameters responsible for change in the confining environment. Several others important physical aspects like the estimation Quantum Similarity Index between two quantum particles, evaluation of one- and two- particle radial density, interacular and extracular radial density, Coulomb holes, analysis on Hund’s multiplicity rule etc. for different confined systems will also be investigated. We are hopeful that the respective structural, entanglement and information theoretic measures may lead a new direction of research in confined systems especially in the perspective of quantum information based technology.
