About
Over the past decade, numerous organic-inorganic materials have been developed and studied, offering high stability and selectivity. However, a material capable of controlling bacteria growth and removing toxic pollutants like arsenic and lead is needed. Hybrid nanocomposites can be used to remove multiple contaminants from industrial effluents, including complex dyes, arsenic, and lead. To address these challenges, a multipurpose novel 'organic-inorganic' nanohybrid composite is proposed. This composite incorporates inorganic nanoparticles into an organic framework with medicinal properties, similar to traditional Indian Ayurvedic Medicines. The framework is biologically active against microbes, while the inorganic part is non-toxic nanomaterials. These advanced materials are expected to show high performance and open new research dimensions. Nanocomposites, one of the most important classes of engineered materials, have found wide utility in chemical sensors and optical applications. They have become part of various laboratories and industrial units, with applications in medical, textile, potable water, and environmental fields.
