The proposal is to study (1) the Euler-Poincare pairing in the context of covering groups of $GL_n$ over a $p$-adic field, and (2) the variation of $Ext$-spaces under theta correspondence which is known to well behave for the $Hom$-functor known as See-Saw duality.
