About
Deep eutectic solvents (DESs) are emerging green solvents that have been extensively studied for their physicochemical properties and dynamics. Researchers are now exploring the photophysics of fluorescent molecules in DESs using theoretical and experimental approaches. This project aims to explore the impact of DESs on zero dimensional carbon-based nanomaterials, which have shown low cytotoxicity, excellent photostability, specific sensing of analytes, and multicolor emission range due to their structural heterogeneity. Despite their impressive properties, there are challenges in developing environmentally friendly nanomaterials. This project aims to develop a highly fluorescent nanosensor using biomass wastes, which are cheap, green, and in very cheap condition. The synthesized nanosensor will be considered a green emerging material. The first goal is to develop highly fluorescent potential nanomaterials, and the next is to apply the synthesized nanosensor for analyte detection and real samples. Preliminary results support the feasibility of the project, and the project is expected to expose a new class of green emerging nanosensor for modern applications, aligning with the Government of India's funding initiative for basic research.
