This research proposal aims to study the properties of discrete-time quantum walks on quantum networks. In particular, PI would like to understand the dependence of hitting time and the shift operator of the quantum walk on properties of the underlying quantum network - via the entanglement of the coin operator of the walker with the entangled systems of the quantum network. Building on these basic results, the goal would be to design applications which can exploit the properties of quantum walks on quantum networks in quantum communication and computation.
