About
Rare diseases are prevalent in a small number of populations and there is a deficit of medicines. In India, there is an existence of nearly 450 rare diseases, and it has become a challenge to treat these diseases due to poor diagnosis lack of proper treatment options. There is tremendous pressure toward the initiation of research and development in orphan drug discovery. Based on the importance of orphan drug diseases we aimed to develop synthetic process for rare disease drugs such as risdiplam, cladribine, and palovarotene. It is planned to develop a process and technology transfer to start-up company for large-scale production and commercialization.
