Project Overview
The study plan to collate in-house generated data with the publicly available data for sorghum to identify anther-specific genes. The specificity of these genes would be validated in different tissue types using qPCR. The regulatory regions of male meiocyte-specific genes in particular, would be validated for cell-type specificity using transgenic approaches in sorghum.
