About
This wheat improvement program caters to the above needs and is devised keeping in identification of novel genetic diversity, introgression of novel genes and dissecting the genetic basis, to develop and use of embryo rescue techniques for gene transfer from alien sources. Development of parental wheat germplasm with novel genetic diversity and evaluation of fixed material, sharing and registering as genetic stocks.
Achievements
Triple gene dwarf lines with lodging resistance; Lines developed with specific rust resistance genes; The elite crosses showing complete resistance to Head Scab at DWR.; Tolerant and susceptible synthetic lines for different traits; Cell membrane stability in wild species
