Project Overview

The main objective of the project is to detect ship/boat in optical remote sensing images with low SNR. The IR satellite image could be cloudy and misty, dusk/dawn visible image or day/night image. Likewise, the waves could also be quiet, textured or cluttered. Expected Precision value is greater than 92%. Further, it is planned to track the moving ship/boat and trajectory prediction at frame level coordinates/latitude and longitude of detected multiple targets at a frame rate of 15 frames/sec.

Achievements

The project being undertaken by ISRO in collaboration with academia is directly or indirectly beneficial to the society.
