Design and synthesis of metal-free heterogeneous catalysts and their applications for COâ fixation reactions for the preparation of fuels and value-added chemicals.
The current project aims at developing an innovative method to heterogenize the homogeneously-active NHC-based catalysts by decorating over COFs for the metal-free catalytic reduction and reductive functionalization of CO₂ into methanol/formic acid/high-value chemicals under mild conditions. Also, some pharmaceuticals compounds such as s-naproxen, s-ibuprofen etc. would be synthesized through consecutive reactions followed by CO₂ coupled compounds like oxazolidinone.
