The main objective of the project is to develop an algorithm to retrieve cloud water content from polarimetric DWR over North India (NI). Precipitation derived from DWR will be merged with Gauge and Satellite derived rainfall for developing daily gridded high-resolution precipitation data over North India (NI). The quantitative estimation of precipitation and it’s merging with other observation will help to develop more improved observation. As observation is improved, forecasting will be improved on regional basis.
