Project Overview

This project aims at improving prediction of lndian summer monsoon rainfall (ISMR) by simultaneous use of observations and dynamical model output through machine leaming (ML). The project intends to develop an improved ML algorithm for prediction of ISMR. This atgorithm could be applied to model predictions for better understanding the lacuna in the models in terms of monsoon driving teleconnections. Development of a new ML model for prediction of ISMR is expected to be acheived.
