Project Overview

The project aims to predict occurrence, intensity and duration of fog over Northern India using machine learning techniques. The selected parameters will be investigated via a binary classification algorithm to find if the conditions are favorable for occurrence of fog. The Long Short Term Memory based neural network approach combined with logistic regression is used to select the parameters using atmospheric data from ground and satellite based observations over north India.
