Project Overview

In this study, investigators will clone and express Rab11 and Rab4 homologs from the Leishmania and try to identify their effectors. Finally, studies will be carried out to understand the role of Rab4 and Rab11 in Hb-receptor recycling pathway in Leishmania using Rab4 or Rab11 knock out parasites or parasites overexpressing dominant negative mutants of Rab4 or Rab11.
