Project Overview

Neurological illnesses, such as Alzheimer's and Parkinson's, affect 450 million people globally, with the latter being the fastest-rising public health concern in developing nations. The exact process of amyloid-beta accumulation in the brain to develop Alzheimer's is still unknown. Studying AD's prodromal or presymptomatic stages can help identify potential patients and develop treatment approaches. To address these problems, researchers will use mathematical techniques like complex network models, ODE, PDE, and Deep learning to construct or modify existing neural models. Graph theory will be used to replicate brain connections and track disease development. The research will help understand noise-induced electrical activity, synaptic mechanisms, neurocomputational features, and properties of neural networks for complex brain functioning in healthy and diseased conditions.
