Project Overview
Nonsmooth functions are common in optimization problems, such as maximum eigenvalue problems and support vector machine problems. Subdifferentials, variational inequalities, and conjugate function theory are used to solve these problems. Interval optimization problems (IOPs) are emerging fields in optimization theory, but there is a need for extensive development of nonsmooth analysis for IOPs. This project aims to develop theories for IOPs under D-dominance structure.
