Implementing Organization

Central Institute of Mining and Fuel Research (CIMFR)
National Botanical Research Institute (NBRI)

Project Overview

A process for the manufacture of building bodies such as bricks, roofing tiles and construction building blocks utilizing Fly ash, bottom ash, lime, sand, chemical accelerator, that yields products like bricks having better machine finish, about 25% less requirements of mortar, with very high crushing strength low porosity, lighter in weight, high durability and no efflorescence.

Benefits

Better machine finish-about 25% less requirements of mortar. Very high crushing strength low porosity, Lighter in weight. High durability, No efflorescence. Fly ash having maximum 10% carbon can be utilized, Cost competitive.
