Peptide-based Delivery of Therapeutic Nucleic Acids Targeting Neurodegenerative Diseases

Implementing Organization

Centre for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB)
National Metallurgical Laboratory (NML)

Project Overview

The technology pertains to the potential and utility of TARBP-BTP, a new fusion protein that fosters the efficient delivery of siRNA to the brain and hence mediate the knockdown of target genes responsible for early onset of neurodegenerative disorders and would also serve unmet needs for incurable neurological conditions. e.g. Huntington's Disease, Alzheimer's Disease (AD).

Benefits

An excellent method for delivering siRNA across the blood-brain barrier for the intervention of neurodegenerative diseases.
