Project Overview

The column thikener could be used for dewatering in the mineral industries.

Benefits

Space required to install the plant is less as compared to the conventional thickeners, Overall performance of the process is enhanced and day to day maintenance requirement is less, The instrument contains different feed inlet points along the height of the column. Depending on the capacity of overflow water and underflow slurry density requirement inlet point can be varied, Provisions have been given to apply magnetic field to the column The applied magnetic field will increase the settling rate of the iron ore slurry, An auxiliary inlet point has been provided at the bottom of the column for clearing jam if it happens in the bottom conical portion of the column, Larger aspect ratio of the column helps to increase the underflow slurry density of the thickener, No moving part
