Project Overview

CSIR-IHBT has developed severalcost-effectivefood products and their technologies based on seabuckthorn fruits which are ready to commercial-stage CSIR-IHBT also providing trainings on food processing and postharvest technology to farmers, Shelf helping groups, NGO and technical cluster Salient features of the technology: 1. Patent filled , 2. Low or no chemical based products , 3. Several products can make under one roof , 4. Low cost investment with high profit , 5. Shelf life of the developed product is more than 6 months

Benefits

The fruit and vegetable processing industry in India is likely to expand at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of ~7.62% between FY 2018 and to reach a value of INR 256.4 Bn in FY 2023.
