Project Overview

Pruning at 5 m height with 800 g N + 300 g P2O5 + 1000 g K2O + 50 kg. FYM/tree and two irrigations once at pea stage and another at half grown stage with mulch and Cultar at 4 g a.i/plant was found best for Alphonso mango which recorded fruit yield of 148.4 kg/tree, whereas, control recorded a fruit yield of 84.6 kg/tree. Pruning 3rd order branches 30 cm from origin improved the fruit yield of old unproductive Alphonso mango compared to un-pruned control.
