In the present formulation, the novel herbal lead in the form of pure phytomolecule with strong activity against Propionibacterium acnes has been used. Other available herbal products are not single molecule based formulations and also they are available in the form of cream, which is not preferred formulation particularly for acne problem being the oily in nature.
