An affordable, accurate and noninvasive volume clamp based blood pressure waveform measuring device.

Implementing Organization

Sitikantha Roy - Augmented Medicine, Delhi

Project Overview

It is based on a proven principle given by Penaz in 1973 that uses a volume clamp method. It is a finger cuff based BP waveform measurement device that provides accurate BP waveform based on the gold standard on invasive BP hemodynamic monitoring systems.

Benefits

The current practice of BP measurement is inadequate in painting the complete picture of Cardiovascular health using BP. We are
only focusing on 2 values of the Blood pressure while we can use the entire waveform to better understand the patients health.
Existing NIBP devices are expensive and require training and maintenance to operate them. The bulky size of these devices further
restrict the mobility and mass adoption.
