Project Overview
A wearable sensor device that assesses and reports the progress in the rehabilitation of knee osteoarthritis and knee replacement surgeries. It comprises four sensors worn over thighs and shins by a chronic knee pain patient and connected to a Clinician’s tablet via Bluetooth.
Benefits
In 2017, 15 lakhs Indians had been clinically diagnosed with Osteoarthritis, and the number was expected to increase to 60 Million Indians by the year 2050, making India the osteoarthritis capital of the world. 2 Crore knee replacement surgeries are done each year in India.
