Parkinson’s disease is a type of movement disorder that can change the way a person walks, affecting the balance of the body, and putting people with PD at risk of falling. A simple, non-invasive device is being developed here to prevent falls and promote healthy ageing.
Benefits

Globally, the average age of the population is increasing, leading to an increase in cases of neuro-degenerative diseases such as Parkinson’s. A healthy, independent population of elders improves the quality of life for society as a whole.
