The downer cow syndrome is a common condition affecting pre-calving and post-calving cows. The animal suffering from this disease, suffer from weak leh muscles thus making it difficult for the animal to get up (from sitting position) or stand or walk. For treatment, the animal manually is required to be assisted to stand on its feed to regularize its blood ciurculation.
