Improvement of the electrical and thermal properties of the surface of CFRP products for RF applications

Implementing Organization

National Institute of Technology (NIT), Karnataka, Surathkal

Project Overview

The project aims at the development of advanced overlay coating technology like High Velocity Air-Fuel spray (HVAF) which 1has the potential to offer solutions to improve the thermal and electrical conductivity of CFRP products, including thin wall-like structures. HVAF can be used to deposit thin and thick overlay conductive metallic coating uniformly. Besides, the HVAF coating technology is cost-effective and robust, thus ensuring high productivity.
