Development of Multi-Pattern Time Modulated Array for multi-objective tracking cognitive radar

Implementing Organization

National Institute of Technology Goa
National Institute of Technology (Durgapur), West Bengal

About

The project envisages development of RF switches which will be controlled properly to produce steerable multiple harmonic patterns for tracking multiple target objects by using simple FPGA program, without any phase shifters or attenuators. Machine learning algorithm will be employed to determine proper set of ON-OFF sequence and the potentiality of TMA (Time Modulated Array) will be exploited to produce adaptive reconfigurable beam using same feed network, simply by changing the FPGA program for the required ON-OFF instance of RF switches.

Outcome / Output

The project being undertaken by ISRO in collaboration with academia is directly or indirectly beneficial to the society.
