About

The project aims to demonstrate functionality of a simple, cost-effective and flexible Optical Frequency Combs (OFC) source which is based on dual-drive EOM with 25 GHz carrier spacing. As part of this project, a simulation based detailed analysis will be carried out in order to define optimized set of parameter values such as DC bias voltages, RF input voltages, RF phase shifter values etc. which are to be fed to dual-drive EOM in order to improve the flatness, optical signal to noise ratio (OSNR) & output power of the generated comb lines. Further, a discrete table top setup for the demonstration of OFC using dual-drive EOM will be assembled utilizing the parameter knowledge obtained during simulation parameter analysis.
