The objective of this project is to develop single photon emitter using artifically created quantum dots 2D materials. The artifical quantum dot will be created by (a) strain and (b) electrical gating. Both optical as well as electrical carrier injection will be explored.

The project being undertaken by ISRO in collaboration with academia is directly or indirectly beneficial to the society.
