This research project aims to establish a relationship between hierarchical martensite microstructures and mechanical behavior in precipitation-hardenable stainless steels by exploring the effects of thermomechanical processing. The research delves into the role of austenite residual stress, its impact on martensitic transformation, and the effect of hierarchical martensite structures on mechanical behavior.
