Project Overview

The research project will carryout out experimental and numerical analysis of light weight nanocomposites as a light weight material that can be deployed in building space structures. It is proposed to develop atomistic models, sequential multiscale models in conjunction with damage mechanics to study the high strain rate loading behaviour of nanocomposites. In addition to numerical analysis, experimental characterisation of prototypes will be performed for static and dynamic behaviour of nanocomposites.
