Project Overview
Moisture plays a significant role in the procurement, storage and processing of food grains. Under practical storage conditions, moisture content is the principal governing factor to maintain their quality. The Grain Moisture Meter (Digital Automatic Moisture Computer) developed by CSIO is based on capacitance variation technique which converts moisture changes into dielectric constant variation. The instrument is portable & rugged and directly measures percentage of moisture in grains.
