The glucose biosensor can sense glucose concentration in blood from 40 mg/dL to 600 mg/dL of blood glucose. The device is compact and user friendly and it can be effectively utilised in diabetes monitoring, bed side diagnosis, pre and post prandial glucose levels and diabetic conunselling etc. The device essentially consists of an enzyme (glucose oxidase) immobilised at a suitable electrode that is coupled to an electronic circuit. Amperometric method of detection has been employed.
