A thermally stable solar selective coating useful for harnessing solar energy comprising a first solar absorber layer of TiAlN being deposited on a substrate selected from the group consisting of glass, silicon and metal, a second solar absorber layer of TiAlON deposited on the first solar absorber layer and a third antireflection layer of Si3N4 deposited on the second solar absorber layer.Parabolic trough receiver tubes and linear fresnel technology for solar thermal power generation.Solar water heating Solar industrial heat process
