A less dust chalk has been developed by CSMCRI. Chalk has been a traditional teaching aid in schools, colleges and other teaching institutions. It is likely to continue to play a critical role in the education in our country, notwithstanding developments around the information technology and erasable ink for white boards. Its requirement is estimated to exceed 100,000 ton annum in the country, assuming 300 million people using chalk or the others. Important characteristics of less dust Chalk:

• Less dusting (minimum inhalation with fingers stay clean);
• Smooth writing;
• More writing per length of chalk;
• Good visibility;
• Less breakage;
•  Good visibility.
