Secure landfill (SLF) comprises rigid, monolithic, impermeable, horizontal and vertical liner to prevent leakage of leachate from landfill. The structure may be used as a secure landfill to dispose the sludge generated from industrial effluent treatment plants. It enhances the waste holding capacity by 3 times and also improvises the limitations associated in current practice in clay liner system.
