About

A Single step process for retanning and dyeing of leather material using black liquor without any chemical modification and providing a single step option for retanning-cum-dyeing of leather is provided. Here dyeing is achieved using natural material, which is non-hazardous in comparison to the conventional synthetic dyes.

Outcome / Output

Elimination of use of toxic synthetic dyes, Utilization of effluent sourced from paper pulp mills, wood pulp mills and sugarcane bagasse pulp mills as a source of black liquor for leather retanning, Bioresource utilization through non toxic approach.
