Aluminium particle reinforced composites exhibits high stiffness, strength, wear resistance. Its exhibit comparable strength to that of cast iron and also have excellent castability. Thus these composites can be cast into any shape as that of cast iron provided the fluidityor viscosity of composite melt is controlled. It can be cast through any kind of casting. The cast iron is used for making manhole cover and frames as these are corrosion resistance, wear resistance, and exhibit excellent mechanical properties.
