Project Overview

The immunoassay-based blood test for detecting Alzheimer’s disease (AD) utilizes the Plasmonic-Fiber Optic Absorbance Biosensor Platform (P-FAB). Addressing the need for a sensitive assay to detect changes in the concentration of the Alzheimer's disease biomarker, Amyloid β 42, the P-FAB platform employs a sandwich assay approach with plasmonic labels on a U-bent fiber optic sensor probe. Effectively measuring biomarker concentrations in pg/ml, P-FAB presents a promising solution for accurate Alzheimer’s disease detection.
