Distinguished and Outstanding Scientists Scheme is for the Scientists and Technologists of Indian Origin (STIOS) to engage global Indian S&T experts in the effort of CSIR focussed on shaping a new S&T landscape to address global scientific challenges.
Eligibility Criteria
The position is open both for Indian Citizens and Scientist/Technologist of Indian Origin. The details are as shown below:
(1) Proven track record in areas of cutting edge Science & Technology with direct benefit and interest in traditional and high quality fundamental and application oriented S&T experience directly relevant for CSIR and its mandate.
(2) Leadership qualities required for building/nurturing new groups of Scientists and technologists in emerging areas of interest to the country, and its problems in keeping with national innovation objective and their effective translation via the CSIR mandate.
