FY2027 Call for Proposals: Bilateral Programs (Joint Research Projects/Seminars)

The Department of Science and Technology (DST), Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India, New Delhi and the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) conduct the India-Japan Cooperative Science Programme (IJCSP) to promote bilateral scientific collaboration between Indian and Japanese scientists. Applications are invited from eligible Indian researchers /scientists to submit proposals for Joint Research Projects and Joint Workshops/Seminars under IJCSP. I. Areas of cooperation: The support is available to the following scientific areas: (a) Physical Sciences (b) Chemical Sciences (c) Life Science & Agriculture (d) Mathematics & Computational Science (e) Astronomy & Earth Science (f) Materials & Engineering

India-Finland Joint Innovation Call for Proposal 2026

The cooperation is based on the Implementation Arrangement between the Department of Science and Technology, Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India and Innovation Funding Agency Business Finland, under Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment, Government of Finland. Priority areas would be related to Sustainable energy. For example, including but not limited to cooperation areas such as: Renewable energy, smart cities, hydrogen technologies, waste management, waste- to-energy, electric vehicles, carbon capture, energy storage, DERMS (Distributed Energy Resource Management System), VPP (Virtual Power Plant), and heat pumps or HP (Heat Pump) plants. On behalf of DST, Technology Development Board (TDB) shall implement this call.

India-UK InnoXchange Programme 2026 (DST-NIDHI Initiative Open Call)

The India-UK InnoXchange Programme is a bilateral initiative of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India, and Innovate UK, part of UK Research and Innovation (UKRI). The programme will be implemented on the Indian side by the Foundation for Innovation and Technology Transfer (FITT), IIT Delhi. The programme has been developed under the India–UK partnership on research and innovation and aims to facilitate the exchange of technology-led startups and promote cross-border entrepreneurship between India and the United Kingdom. It seeks to foster collaboration among startups, incubators, accelerators, universities, research institutions, industry and other innovation ecosystem stakeholders in both countries. Through structured exchanges, the programme will enable participating startups and incubation professionals to gain exposure to the partner country’s innovation ecosystem, identify potential collaborators, understand international markets and explore opportunities for technology partnerships, joint development, investment and market access.

ANRF- Call for Proposal for MAHA Water Programme

The ANRF's Mission for Advancement in High-impact Areas (MAHA) program supports priority-centric, solution-based research in mission mode, concentrating on a few important areas that are in line with the country's primary needs. It is envisaged to be multi-disciplinary, multi-institutional and multi-investigator projects with industrial partnerships in the best sorted areas of immediate concern. In this regard, ANRF identified the "MAHA Water Program" in partnership with the Ministry of Jal Shakti (MoJS), GoI, in order to involve researchers, institutions, and various stakeholders in order to accelerate innovation, design, develop, and promote high-priority adaptable solutions related to water problem(s) and increasing stress, which is caused by demands on surface and groundwater for drinking, irrigation, industrial, and ecosystem use.

DBT BIRAC Joint Rolling Call for Proposals on Bio-AI for establishing मूलांकुर hubs under BioE3 Policy for Biomanufacturing

"Bio-AI is one of the enablers for building data-driven, cutting-edge, programmatic research support for the Biomanufacturing initiative. The outcomes are expected to provide critical and novel research leads impacting Health, Agriculture and Environment. The Bio-AI call invites problem statements and research solutions in Biomolecular Design, Sustainable Agriculture, Synthetic Biology, Ayurveda and Genomics Diagnostics to be addressed bymulti-disciplinary teams with research expertise across synthetic biology, AI/ML, computation. " Eligibility Criteria : Researchers and scientists with solid scientific and technical backgrounds and pertinent publications in the suggested fields who are employed by government agencies, universities, academic institutions, national laboratories, DSIR-recognized non-profit organisations, startups, or industries are eligible to submit research proposals addressing a variety of problem statements. Academic Organisations: Proposals may be submitted by interested applicants engaged in research activities at various Institutions/Universities/Societies/Trusts/NGOs/Foundations/Voluntary Organizations, recognized as a Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (SIRO). The Principal Investigator must have at least four years of employment remaining in the institution at the time of proposal submission. Industry: Eligibility criteria for the industries will be as per “Implementation Plan for the Biomanufacturing and Biofoundry Initiative”.

DST- Call for Proposals (CFP) under Scheduled Cast Sub Plan (SCSP) Mission सह-SANKALP

The Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India, in collaboration with the Office of the Principal Scientific Adviser (O/o PSA), has launched a Mission S&T for Sustainable Livelihood System as Mission सह-SANKALP (Science and Advanced Networks for Knowledge-driven Action for Livelihood Promotion). The national mission addresses the need to integrate S&T solutions with rural and tribal livelihoods to promote sustainability, resilience, and inclusive growth, especially in the Aspirational Blocks identified by Niti Aayog. This Call for Proposals (CFP) invites eligible institutions and organizations to submit proposals for piloting STI-based livelihood interventions in selected Aspirational Blocks to develop scalable models that enhance capacities & strengthen the socio-economic conditions of Scheduled Caste (SC) communities; and align with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Proposals must explicitly highlight their alignment with Mission सह-SANKALP and its objectives of advancing sustainable livelihoods.
