Indo-German Science & Technology Centre (IGSTC),a bilaterial organization of the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Government of India and the Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR), Government of Germany invites applications for Paired Early Career Fellowship in Applied Research (PECFAR) from early-career researchers from India and Germany to explore, connect and network for research collaboration in applied research. This fellowship facilitates a pair of Early Career Researchers to have short term visits to India/Germany for networking and exploring avenues for collaboration and innovation in Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics (STEM). The duration of the fellowship will be minimum 1 month/30 days and maximum up to 2 months/60 Days. Grant shall be provided to cover the travel and fellowship of selected pairs. The paired fellows shall jointly plan the fellowship visits to the partner country (India/Germany).
Joint fellowship by IGSTC for pairs of Indian and German early career researchers. Includes a grant for a 2-month visit to nurture international cooperation and networking in STEM fields.
Fellowships are offered at two levels: PhD Industrial Exposure Fellowship (PIEF) - Young researchers who have completed one year of PhD course in Science/Engineering from India and are below 28 yrs of age are eligible. The duration of the Fellowship is up to six months. Post Doctoral Industrial Fellowship (PDIF) – Fresh PhDs in Science/Engineering from Indian institutes/universities below 35 yrs of age and within 2 years of completion of PhDs are eligible. Talented researchers not holding a permanent position or having a career break satisfying above age and PhD criteria are also eligible. The duration of the Fellowship is up to twelve months.

Through WISER scheme, women researchers/entrepreneurs holding a regular position with minimum of 5 years of experience in academic/research institutions/industry in India and Germany are invited to submit proposals in a paired mode in any area of STEM.
